2012 Class Schedule
Instructor Julie Cancilla:
- All classes are in the evening from 7 to 9 pm unless otherwise noted.
- A supply list is provided for each class. Students may bring their own supplies or purchase them at a 10 % discount. *
- Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions consist of four 2 hour evening classes.
- Students complete all 4 classes for each session.
- No refunds on cancelled sessions, unless we cancel the session. If you have to cancel, you may apply the fee to another session.
KIDS GINGERBREAD CLASSES
The Pie class on Nov. 15th is full so we are adding another on Nov. 16th
Your house will be baked, put together, and ready for you to decorate when you arrive for class.
Includes house on a 12 inch board, icing and candy for decorating. Take it home to decorate a table for the holidays.

Mommy or Daddy and Me
Gingerbread House class
This class is geared for one parent ( aunt, uncle, grandparent) and a child.
The house will be on a larger board to give you room to create a snow scene in the yard. All supplies are furnished, icing, candy etc. Take time to share this tradition with your child, see how creative you can be together.

Basic Cake Decorating
You will receive instruction on all types of frosting, fillings, and use of necessary tools. Learn to decorate cakes for all occasions. Split, fill, frost, create borders, flowers and practice writing. Discover how creative you can be with frosting and a pastry bag. Cost is $38.00 per session, plus supplies *

Session 3: December 3,5,10, and 12
Intermediate Cake Decorating Perfect your skills and learn more types of borders, flowers and garlands. In this class you will learn fondant flowers and color flow. November 1, 6, 8 & 13

Advanced Cake Decorating Learn more about working and decorating with fondant. You will make some fondant decorations, and then decorate a two tier Wedding cake with fondant and your creations.
September 5, 12, 19 & 26
Cost is $50.00 plus supplies
BAKING CLASS We will teach you how to use our mixes to create new flavors. You will add lots of
fun items for a new look and taste. We will also learn some new Buttercream icing recipes.

September 4th
CREAM DESSERTS
Napoleons, Cream Puffs, and Eclairs. We will have so much fun making these wonderful whip cream and custard filled goodies. We will also make a chocolate ganache to dip and decorate our desserts.You will take home everything you do in class to share with your family.

September 11th
BASIC FONDANT
Students will learn to roll out and cover their cakes with fondant, then make flowers and decorations. Learn how to use Luster Dust and Disco Dust to add color and make your cakes look professional.
Cost is $65.00
September 13th
MINI DESSERTS AND PETIT FOURS
We will have cakes baked from our mixes and ready for you. Students will cut them into different shapes to frost and decorate. You will learn to use chocolate ganache, poured fondant, buttercream, cream cheese, and custard. You will take home what you make in class.

September 18th
CUPCAKE DECORATING
Students will have about one doz. cupcakes to work on. We will decorate for Halloween and Christmas, you will fill, frost and decorate to take home for family and friends.

October 4th
CAKE POPS and PUSH UP POPS
You will make up the cake pops from cake and brownies that have been prepared for the class and turn them into tasty creative treats. While your pops are chilling in the fridge you will make up the Push up Pops. When cake pops are chilled you can dip in chocolate and decorate for the Holidays.

October 10th
CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES
Make up a truffle base, then divide into 4 pieces to flavor as you wish. Dip them, mold them and decorate for a spooky Halloween look.

October 25th
CINNAMON ROLLS
We will make cinnamon rolls and monkey bread from scratch in class. Hot from the oven they will smell so good you will have to try one. Bring along your favorite drink to enjoy with a hot roll. You will have lots of goodies to take home and share with your family.

November 7th
PIE CLASS
This will be a great class to get you ready for the holidays. Make Rustic Apple, Pumpkin, Pecan and Chocolate cream pies. All made from scratch to take home and share.

November 15th
HOLIDAY COOKIE CLASS
Julie, has decided to share her famous Sugar Cookie recipe with us. Dough will be ready for the class to work with. You will cut out Christmas shapes and bake then decorate in class.

November 28th
Chocolate Transfers
Each student will receive a 7 inch chocolate cake to work on. You will frost in Chocolate Fudge icing, then pour chocolate ganache
over that, and decorate with chocolate transfers you have learned to make in class. We will also do some individual desserts
with transfers.
Cost is $65.00
November 29th from 7 to 9 p.m.
GINGERBREAD HOUSE
The house will be baked and put together on a board for you to decorate. House, icing and candies for you to use to create a Holiday centerpiece (or dessert) will all be provided. Start a tradition with your family.

December 4th
CHOCOLATE SLEIGH
Using a chocolate mold you will make up, put together, then decorate a chocolate sleigh, we will fill it with cookies to take home and use a a centerpiece that you can eat. No worries about storing this beautiful decoration, just eat it!

December 6th
HOLIDAY FONDANT
Students will receive a 7 inch square cake to fill an frost. Decorate with fondant to look like a present. You will make a bow and ribbon to wrap you present, then some other fun shapes to decorate your package.

December 11th
NEW SATURDAY CLASSES
BASIC CAKE DECORATING
Students will receive everything they need for this class. Learn to split, fill, frost and decorate a cake. Kit will include 5 tips, a rose nail, small angled spatula, and 10 disposable bags. You will have a cake to work on and take home. First part of class will be a demonstration and instructions, then you will practice and finally do your own cake to take home and share.
Cost is $75.00
September 8th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Class is limited to 8 students
FONDANT FLOWERS
Students will receive Wilton Gum Paste flower cutter kit, 1 pk. fondant shaping foam 1 ball tool for fondant, 2# of fondant to work with, and a 7" layer cake to work on. Class will learn flowers such as, daisies, roses, blossems, etc. you will roll out, color the fondant cover your cake, decorate and take home.

September 29th from 9 a,m. to 12:30
